Star Wars: Tales of the Old Republic #1

Me alegra poder presentar por fin el primer número del que ha sido mi proyecto desde hace unos meses: la serie de cómics Tales of the Old Republic. Ha sido un largo camino y mucho esfuerzo, pero por fin está aquí. Espero que lo podáis disfrutar tanto como yo.

El impresionante guión está a cargo de Imanol Bao García, también conocido como "Stormy". Echad un vistazo a su otro gran proyecto aquí: The Enigma of Ivonne Reed.

El proceso gráfico corre a mi cuenta, por completo. ¡Seguid atentos para los siguientes números!

I'm glad to finnaly introduce the first issue of my first personal proyect: the comic book series Tales of The Old Republic. It's been a long way and a lot of work. but it's finnaly here. Hope you guys can enjoy it.

The incredibly talented Imanol Bao García, a.k.a. Stormy has taken charge of the script. Here you can check another great job of his: The Enigma of Ivonne Reed (in Spanish).

The graphic process has been done by me. Stay tuned for the following issues! And I'm sorry the comic is only available for now in Spanish. If there's any new about that I'll let you know. Thanks for stopping by!

The Best of Inktober

October was really special, I participated on Inktober, the movement where you are supossed to ink 1 draw at day. Here's a selection of my best of it. I was really fun, I'll do it in 2016 too. :D

Octubre ha sido especial, he participado en el movimiento "Inktober", o "Tintubre" (jaja). EL reto consistía en crear un dibujo con tinta al día. Aquí os dejo una selección de los mejores. Repito en 2016 también. :D

DC Trinity

Batman v. Superman is geting closer and closer, and I wanted to do some art about it. But it felt a bit lonely without the lovely Wonder Woman, so it finnally ended up in a "DC Trinity" artwork, or "Batman v. Superman (with Wonder Woman)". And why not do it in a child style? That's always better. Haha.

Batman contra Superman se va acercando, y quería hacer una ilustración sobre la peli. Pero quedaba un poco vacío sin la encantadora Wonder Woman. Así que se acabó convirtiendo en una obra de la "Trinidad DC", o tambien "Batman contra Superman (con Wonder Woman)". Y ¿por qué no hacerla en un estilo infantil? Eso siempre es mejor. Jajaja.

Star Wars Rebels- What If...

I'm a huge fan of Rebels, so I've made some fast illustrations just for fun. I've called them "What If...", and they show the life our heroes could have lived.

On this one, I'll show you the process.

Soy un gran fan de la serie, y he hecho una serie de ilustraciones rápidas por diversión. Las he llamado "What If..." ("Y si..."), y muestra la vida que podrían haber llevado los héroes de la serie.

Y en este primer ejemplo, os enseñaré el proceso.

This is the sketch and handmade part. // Este es el boceto y la parte hecha a mano.

This is the draw colored in Photoshop CS5. // Coloreado en Photoshop CS5.

Finally, I added a concept art of a Star Wars videogame to the background. // Y por último, he añadido un arte conceptual de un videojuego de Star Wars para el fondo.

And that's it. Hera Syndulla as a Republic Pilot in this "What If..." // Y ya está. Ya tenemos a Hera Syndulla como una piloto de la República en este "What If..."

En esta ocasión entinté a mano la portada que Dale Eaglesham hizo para el número 27 del séptimo volumen de los 4 Fantásticos para un trabajo de clase hace dos años. Entintado con plumilla.

Intro

Como corresponde, la primera entrada es una introducción al blog. He tardado bastante en crearlo, pero finalmente, aquí está. Espero poder actualizarlo habitualmente.

Soy Guillermo Sotelo, pero uso el pseudónimo Zeratus, mas corto e "internacional". Y aquí publicaré de todo (relacionado con mi trabajo): desde bocetos rápidos, hasta obras acabadas. Espero que lo disfrutéis tanto como yo y que lo recomendéis a vuestros amigos.

Abajo, una ilustración que hice como autorretrato y descripción mía para la cuenta de instagram @Sketch_Daylies, que lanzó el reto #meettheartist para que todos nos conociéramos un poco mejor.

Of course, this first entry should be some kind of intro. I've been holding over creating this blog. But here we are. I hope to be able to update it often.
